The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for maintaining an orderly and sanitary lab environment at all times. Interested in learning laboratory processes for potential growth opportunity. Background in Chemistry a plus
Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction.
Cleaning and maintaining process equipment and laboratory facility to meet state and local requirement.
Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals, and equipment used in laboratory.
Storing supplies and equipment, disposal of waste according to guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms, and working areas immaculate.
Washing and sterilizing laboratory glassware.
Performing clerical work related to laboratory actives such as word processing, record keeping, filing.
Maintaining material safety Data sheets for all department chemical and products.
Other duties assigned
Qualifications and Education:
1+ years of experience in a Lab that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures, preferably a regulated field producing pharmaceutical grade products
Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when unclear on what to do.
Make accurate mathematical calculations.
Ability to understand and apply work methodologies that drive accuracy and speed.
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.
Work effectively as a team member.
Ability to work occasional over-time.
Comfortable with working against established goals and metrics.
Ability to spend majority of time walking/standing.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 100 lbs. on a frequent basis.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time hourly position with a rate of $15hr.
Standard days of work are Monday through Friday 9AM – 6PM. (Hours subject to change)
The employee may be asked to work weekends as needed
