We are looking for a Sales Account Manager who will join our sales team . This position will work outside of the York, PA office- with extensive travel throughout their territory (Northeast).
What you’ll do in this role:
Visit all customers on a regular basis. See “key” customers minimum of every 4-6 weeks or sooner and other as directed by supervisor.
Sell all products offered to customers by demonstrating the benefits of our products vs. the competition. Introduce and place new and/or exclusive products providing appropriate and approved samples.
Provide technical information, conduct training sessions with store staff members and provide exceptional service and support.
Learn and demonstrate proficiency with SAP, Google Business Package, Infoview (sales reporting) Excel, Microsoft Word and C4C (CRM).
Demonstrate regular sales increases in your territory and meet or exceed provided sales targets.
Must quickly develop extensive product knowledge on our product offering.
Appropriately qualify new accounts in your territory.
Provide all needed marketing and support materials to retailers.
Have regular communications with stores regarding service related issues. This might include ship dates, back orders & possible substitute items, defective product support, RMA’s, etc.
Regular consecutive overnight travel is required.
Provide weekly call reports and keep updated on CRM to recap activities and successes for the week to the sales director.
Responsible for selling discontinued, dead stock or overstock inventory.
Provide appropriate and regular training to the customer service and warehouse staff at your distribution center.
Must be able to perform job duties without restrictions.
Must timely manage expense reports and submitted as directed.
Accountable to provide timely and accurate product and market information, sales forecasts, etc.
Must be able to work weekends for store meeting, grand openings, trade shows, customer appreciation days, etc.
What you’ll need to be successful:
Four plus years’ experience in industry related sales (hydroponics)
Current valid driver’s license and ability to drive on a regular basis
Business/Marketing degree is preferred.
Must have proven ability of using principles and methods for sales, marketing, customer service and personal service.
Skilled with handling and diffusing tense issues.
Able to multi-task in a faced paced environment.
Must be detail oriented and organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have strong management skills and be a “team player”. Strong computer skills a must.
