The Rogue Valley’s premiere hydroponics and garden supply company is looking for a Director of Sales to join our dynamic and growing team of professionals. Areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:
Sale Initiatives : Candidate will work closely with company managing partners to plan, develop and implement an aggressive growth strategy.
Develop Client Base : Candidate will build successful relationships with farm owners by visiting sites, assisting with the development of grow plans and introducing new products and services. Candidate will stay current on existing and emerging technologies to demonstrate superior product knowledge and to deliver superior client solutions.
Target Marketing : The ideal candidate will understand where traditional means of marketing can be effective, while also having the foresight to determine how and when to implement new, innovative marketing techniques to drive company revenue, particularly in social media.
Tracking : Candidate is expected to help build automated workflows to monitor the development of the sales pipeline. This will include analyzing sales data to determine marketing effectiveness as well as analyzing market conditions to determine if changes are warranted.
Conference Support : Candidate should be adept at leveraging trade shows and conferences as a catalyst for marketing campaigns targeted toward attendees. Candidate will research and track the local conference circuit to reach targeted audience.
Industry Trends : Candidate is expected to remain cognizant of industry trends and efforts implemented by competitors to leverage those trends to acquire new prospects and / or clients.
-Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration or progress toward
-Prior experience generating and growing sales revenue in an entrepreneurial environment
-Ability to create and manage sales campaigns without direct oversight
-Self-starter with a strong sales drive
-Excellent communication skills
-Outgoing, enthusiastic and positive personality
-Strong writing and publishing skills
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Comfortable working with data analysis to drive decision making
-Retail sales experience a plus
