You will be primarily assisting the compliance manager as well as working in operations/administration. We are looking for a responsible person to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the job include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and assisting with our company’s general administrative/operational activities.
The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment. If you have previous experience as a Secretary or Executive administrative assistant and familiarity within our industry, we would like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.
At least 21 years old
Must have at least entry-level knowledge of cannabis, related vocabulary and products offered.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers for data entry for 8 hours or more, some lifting, squatting, bending, some pushing and pulling.
Will Assist with:
Billing and invoicing, expense reports, and processing payments
Work regarding inventory management, operations, and compliance
Use a database to track inventory, procedures, or documents, maintaining a system that includes API’s using State required METRC software.
Month end reporting, inventory cycle counts, and reconciliation
Record and collection of necessary taxes for various state and city agencies.
Performing reconciliations in the inventory management system.
Evaluate, improve, and establish SOPs that align with best practices.
Develop current Quality Control (SOP) and department to establish policies and protocols according to regulatory requirements.
Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information.
Desired skills and experience:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Clear communicator, meticulous and detail oriented
Prior experience in an office environment
Experience working for a cannabis company
Experience in developing, documenting, and implementing systems and processes
Comfortable working in a quickly evolving startup environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it
Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written media
Able to learn quickly and retain information easily
Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgment, common sense, and resourcefulness
Possess a high level of critical thinking skills
Working alone and with a team
Monday through Friday
Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
