MASTER GROWER – CANNASVG
CANNASVG LTD is a vertically integrated medical cannabis company in St. Vincent & The Grenadines which is part of a wider group with operations spanning across multiple jurisdictions and industries. We are looking for a MASTER GROWER to join our fast-growing team and organisation.
Remidose, CannaSVG and Psyched Therapeutics have entered into an agreement to develop and market novel products consisting of innovative delivery methods for the cannabis and psychedelics space. Our proprietary technology for accurate dosage regulation makes our product, an aerosol metred dose device, one of the most advanced products in the industry.
Manage all cultivation activities within initial phase of production and manage same-site expansion.
Manage production, process and distribution of cannabis.
Manage plant scheduling and organization to precisely project all garden needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Catalogue and analyse each strain from clone to flower to harvesting.
Ensure the overall flow and scheduling of all cultivation and optimal asset utilization
Ensure the cultivation areas and adjacent plant are maintained in a clean, organized and safe manner.
Perform all tasks; cloning, transplanting, feeding schedules, defoliation, topping, flushing, IPM practices, waste disposal and inventory management.
Manage planting schedule and organization to precisely project all grow areas on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to keep facility healthy and control expenses.
Supervision of inventory to meet the goals of each project.
Develop and implement compliant production plans and create standard operating procedures in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team.
Responsible for ensuring that cannabis is handled in accordance with SOPs.
Develop and maintain facility protocols and maintenance.
Execute preventative maintenance and ensure an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program is in place
Identify and manage cost improvements and lead the development and execution of cost improvement and productivity ideas within the cultivation area. Supports new or improved product trials.
Manage data collection for accuracy and ensure all tracking is compliant with government regulations.
Administration & Management
Manage a large-scale multi-unit production facility including: ensuring cleanliness of facility, managing budget including P&L, cost, performing general administrative duties, and purchasing materials as needed.
Ensure personnel development and performance management planning for all direct and indirect reports, including ongoing proficiency training and smooth on-boarding of new employees.
Establish personnel requirements to meet schedules. Propose and lead corrective actions should issues arise.
Work closely with Founders, Section Growers and other subject matter experts to relentlessly improve quality and yield.
Communicate effectively with other department managers, supervisors and employees to ensure timely resolution of problems and accomplishments of cultivation department and company objectives.
Maintain and promote a positive work environment through collaborative discussions, team communications, rigorous root cause analysis and transparent decision making.
Manage safe work conditions and practices within the cultivation area. Enforce company Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of cultivars and morphology.
Familiarity with Seed to Sale software (e.g. Ample) that aids in cataloguing and analysing individual cultivars from clone through harvest.
Complete safety inspections on the production area as well as being involved in incident investigation and inspection programs.
Liaise with Facility Manager on timelines for upcoming projects.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Maintain accurate GMP documents.
Handle all documents and associated responsibilities as they pertain to the receiving of raw materials, propagation, sowing, growing, drying, harvesting, packaging, storage, picking, destroying, shipping and distribution of the cannabis.
Work closely with Quality Assurance in response to the status of cannabis (i.e. release, hold, etc.) and on all GPP/GMP items as requested by Quality Assurance, the Responsible Person, or the Alternate Responsible Person.
Assist in the hiring and training of all production staff.
Assist government regulators and auditors with inspections and audits of the facility, operations, inventory, sales, and regulatory compliance.
5+ years of experience in cannabis cultivation (preferred)
2-3 Years’ experience within a Licensed Producer (LP)
A Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma, preferably in horticulture or equivalent
3-5 years of experience in commercial agriculture or horticulture (preferred)
A strong team player with a positive attitude
Proactive mindset and a Solutions Oriented approach
Practical experience/knowledge of an integrated pest management program
Ability to successfully clear Health Canada Security background check
Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
Good work ethic and positive team attitude
Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labour tasks required for the proper management of an outdoor grow facility.
Basic computer skills: competency in Microsoft Office.
