An opportunity exists for an experienced manager to oversee all aspects of cultivation on a two-acre farm in the heart of Southern Humboldt County. The farm has been in operation for three years and is fully licensed with 60,000 ft2 of permitted canopy.
Create, implement and maintain standard operating procedures for ‘best practice’ in all aspects of cannabis cultivation from receiving clones to the end of the curing process.
Provide leadership to and manage a cultivation team of 8-12 people in order to achieve production targets for yield and quality, on time and in full.
Provide weekly updates to senior management on production status.
Oversight of farm maintenance and equipment while maximizing production.
Maintain the facility and equipment to meet all CDFA/CalCannanis and OSHA safety standards.
Experience of successfully managing a 2+ acre farm or facility and/or as lead grower, preferably in cannabis but not essential.
3-5 years of leadership experience.
Ability to strategically plan and coordinate production efforts to meet targets and enforce lean cultivation principles.
Demonstrable and effective project, time and team management skills.
Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
Fluent in Spanish desirable but not essential.
Ability to operate a mini excavator and skid steer.
Eligible to work in the United States.
