Many people are finally letting out a breath; California has finally recreationally legalized! The state we were all waiting for is going to allow cannabis sales for everyone. But what will this look like, exactly/
According to The Californian, many in the state are worried about licensing and how to make things above board.
“The biggest thing is they will have to have local approval for conducting commercial cannabis activity,” Lori Ajax, chief of California’s Bureau of Cannabis Control, explained. “They will need that before the state can issue them a temporary license.”
Others are also worried about the fact that taxes are going to be high. Unlike the 20% sales tax in Colorado, which is already a hike, Fortune, worries that sales tax in California could be a loft as a whopping 45%!
Whatever happens, it is likely that cannabis will work out in Cali. People are already buying it and selling it there, and consumers are excited. It’s just a matter of working out all the kinks.
