We are looking for a talented and creative editorial journalist with a multidisciplinary skill set. You will be tasked to drive and captivate our brand voice and strategically apply that voice to all extensions of our business. We are looking for someone who specializes in storytelling and fostering engagement externally and internally, activating all pillars of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties
Creatively and technically deliver professional, top caliber content for our design, editorial, marketing and public relations, sales and social departments.
Spearhead content strategy and initiate brand extensions – maintaining editorial calendar and digital initiatives (including sponsored and branded content)
Establish the brand voice and effectively communicate across all channels
Responsible for dynamic and interactive digital and social content
Experience in SEO, Metadata, Trending API’s, Keyword research and optimisation in copy
Capture and increase overall traffic and reader engagement metrics (within social and all digital properties)
Experience in scriptwriting for video and storytelling in the social and digital landscape
Program, produce and copy edit editorial and editorial and sponsored properties
Book, assign, coordinate and edit stories as well as an editorial calendar
Collaborate with passionate, talented producers throughout the production process
Experience building a team both internally and externally (experience with a global freelance network is a plus)
Maintain national and international network of emerging and established freelance writers
Lead weekly collaborations brainstorms within team
Provide weekly updates to Leadership Team, presenting key findings, progress on projects and metrics against known KPI’s
Qualifications and Skills
BFA English, journalism or communications
6+ years experience
